FAQs

  • As of July 1, 2025, I am no longer in-network with insurance for new clients.
If you're an existing client currently using insurance, nothing changes for now—I'll connect with you directly about next steps before any updates are made.

    Out-of-Network Benefits

While I’m not in-network with insurance providers, you may still be able to use your out-of-network benefits to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions.

    Here’s how it works:

    • You pay my fee directly at the time of service.

    • I provide a monthly superbill (an itemized receipt with necessary info like diagnosis and CPT codes).

    • You submit the superbill to your insurance company.

    • If your plan offers out-of-network coverage, they may reimburse you directly.

If you're unsure about your benefits, you can call your insurance provider and ask:

    • Do I have out-of-network coverage for outpatient mental health services?

    • What percentage of the fee will be reimbursed?

    • Is there a deductible I need to meet first?

    • Are there any limits to the number of sessions covered?

Every plan is a little different, and I’m happy to answer questions or guide you through the process as best I can.

  • Fit is very important to me and, I believe, is the basis of a trusting therapeutic relationship. If you are interested in working together, please click here to fill out the contact form and I will reach out to schedule a free 15 minute consultation call!

  • The frequency and length of time depend on you and what your needs are. I like to begin with weekly sessions to get to know one another better and to set up an action plan, but each client brings different things to the table and I like to honor each unique individual.

  • Our work togther relies on mutual respect and that includes respect for each other’s time. That being said, I also understand that life happens. I ask that clients cancel or reschedule 24-hours in advance. A no-show or last minute cancellation will result in a $100 fee.

  • Unfortunately no :( I am hopeful that in the future LCSWs will be licensed across states, but currently I can only see people who are in the states in which I am licensed - NY, TX and MN.

  • Initial intake - $200

    1-hour session (after intake) - $150

Phone calls longer than 5 minutes - $30 per 15 minutes

  • I have experience working with clients as young as eleven, but currently I am only working with 18+. A list of my specialties can be found here. I welcome all clients from diverse backgrounds and offer a safe space with fat positive and gender affirming care.

  • As a self-pay provider, I’m committed to transparency around the cost of therapy. In accordance with the No Surprises Act, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) that outlines the expected costs of your treatment.

    This estimate will include:

    • The cost of each session

    • How often sessions typically occur

    • The total expected cost over a 12-month period (based on your goals and preferences)

You’ll receive this estimate in writing before we begin working together, and you're welcome to ask questions or request updates at any time. Please know that this is not a contract or a guarantee of services—just a helpful guide so you can make informed decisions without surprises.

If you ever feel confused about costs or what to expect, I'm here to talk through it with you.
